What ever you don't crank it anymore!!!!
Drain your oil. Remove the spark plugs. Try using a vaccum through the spark plug holes and sucking out the water.
Hopefully you just got the distributor wet and it won't start.
Did you notice any abnormal noises coming from the engine from your drives to your friends house.

i had something like this happen to me a month ago...
i was driving down the road and i shifted into 3rd and it sputtered and stoped... i had been going through water and thought i hydrolocked the motor.... turns out i snapped the timing belt... so check that.. if timing belt is broken it wont spin the camshaft therefore no spark. could also be the water pump seized up.
so (1)check the timing belt (2)check the water pump to see if it can spin freely and (3)make sure the rotor is spinning in the distributer!
good luck

i fixed it!! it was the ignition coil, and i just put on a new rotor on as well... nowi t starts up and runs fine again..but i have a question.. im about to replace the timing belt because it has to much slack.. being an oldbelt.. does anyone have lke a way to do it.. or diagram.. and is it hard?
you could search or look in the faq for the writeup... it requires taking the driver side engine mount off and the crank pully... but if you search you should find alot of writeups
