Does anyone know what will replace it or what acura plans to do in the future? Looking into a new 06 RSX Type S before they discontinue them.

I've read in a magazine that there stopping it everywhere..can't remember which one(saw it at a doctors office)

i was soooooooooooo close to getting an 06 rsx-s. now ill never have an opportunity to own a brand new dc5 ever again.

 

yea i also heard of a 2dr TSX replacement. cant wait to see concepts.

 

I heard two door tsx. Because acura doesn't want a car below 30k. And on top of that honda doesn't want to import them anymore because they want to market the civic si. Which I think is a bad idea but whatever.

What are you talking about, here? The DC5 is reaching the end of its model life in 2006 MY.

Well... The problem is that Honda can now build a car that's safer than the DC5 <u>and</u> handles better at the same time, while retaining the McPherson suspension.

 

What are you talkinf about the dc5 will still be produced in japan as the integra. The US market wants to discontinue it because of the tsx. So get your facts straight before u go knocking on others opinions son!

LOL, i guess you dont know who ur talkin to. Anyways, the dc5 has run its course. People were cryin just as much when the dc5 replaced the old teg.

It's being discontinued because it has simply run its life, that's all. Sales are dropping and we can make better cars, and more cheaply.

Buddy, there's just no way. No dealership has the knowledge or authority to speak definitively about this because, well, frankly, Honda itself does not know what it is going to do.

The DC5 has to go.

It's possible that the Integra name or the RSX name might be revived for a future platform, initially planned for the 2008 model year. That platform would not resemble the DC5 in much of a way at all. The proposed 2008 platform is AWD and in the 220-250 HP range.

I miss my EP3. The 6-6 will get 30 mpg but if I drive it like I drove the EP, it drops on down to 24-25 rather quickly.

I think that they are replacing the RSX Type s cuz they are attracting the wrong demographic of drivers, girls, its a very feminin vehicle
