Falken Azenis fitment on STOCK GSR, rubbing?
I'm thinking of getting some Falken Azenis 205/50 15's for my STOCK GSR (Blade Wheels). From what I've been seeing lately, I'm worried about fitement issues. Will this rub? Will it look too wide? The only reason I was going 205 in the first place is to have something wider than stock (I originaly considered Kumho Ecsta's). But if the Azenis are that wide, maybe I should consider 195? Will they still be wider than regular 195's? If I go 205, will they look silly on the stock rims (will they look like they are "overflowing'?).
Should I just stick with Kumho?
I should be paying wholesale for the Falken's ($254.39 for 4)
TIA

WEll here is what i know...
The Falkens fit nice on the ITR wheels (stock) in the same size, I believe that our wheels are the same deminsions as the ITR, there is no rubbing, they are wide but the do not stick outside of the wheel well, I considered the Ecsta, however there is so much uncertainity surounding the release of them that i am going with the Falkens. The 205 actually measure 219mm FYI. So, I would say if you are going to be getting them at wholesale (btw hook a fellow HT brother up) I would get them.
My friend that has them on the ITR loves them, they work well in dry conditions and suprisingly they work well in the wet (proven at an autocross not to long ago) there is no problems with hydroplain' like some people say. THey are very tacky (tire compound) Overall they are a good tire for the money.
IMO they as equally as good as the Kumhos, so either way you are going to be getting a good tire, and i would upgrade from the Stock 195's they are just to damn small in my opinion, I still have them on my car and they do not perform in relaitionship to the performance capablity of the car...

a lil pointless maybe but i have pirelli P6000's that are 205/55/15
on my stock gsr wheels. when i turn all the way they rub...
but maybe cuz my car is pretty slammed.
the tires barely tuck underneath the fender.

I just got the Falken Azenis 205/50/15 on my ITR. Mines rubs occasionally...I'm running on Skunk2 coilovers. I guess I need to raise the front a bit to solve this problem.
I went ahead and bought the Yokohama ES100. For the aggressive street and occasional track it's a better bargain for my purposes.
YMMV

Dude, if you are running 205/55's you are running the wrong size tire on your car. You should either be 195/55 or 205/50.

how can any of you say the Falken Azenis are good for rain.... just look at the tread.... and tell me where all that water is going to be traveling?
I have these tires on my car and believe me they hydroplane easy in the rain. Don't get me wrong, they are great on WET roads. Once you start hitting puddles then you feel the slip. In a mild storm I was doing 65 and was having major problems maintaining that speed in the rain. Azenis and puddles =
