Default Wrong Spark Plugs, Now Bad Sputter at Idle an WOT

I went to get some new NGK's to see if it would fix my problem of tiny backfire I had goin on... Well I go an get'm, get home an put'm in... Not paying attention at all while puttin them in mind u, just thiinkin everythings right an perfect.. Well I start my ride an it starts sputterin like ****, I goto give it gas an its doin this sputter/accel thing almost as if I was runnin on 2/3 cylinders... So I take out plugs an compare to old ones, an sure enough they gave me the wrong damn plugs.. Right box, wrong plugs..!!! DAMN DISCOUNT AUTO..!! Well I put my stock NGK's back in, start car, BLAM still runs like ****..!! Doing same exact sputter while idled an acceled.. Haven't changed cap/rotor in about 7 months but what are the chances that the wrong plugs could have made cap/rotor go bad..?? Or am I skipping something here due to MaSSiVe HeaDAchE..!! Thanks in advance...

"i've searched, no similiar problems"

Edit: I've also done a compression check earlier today an ran 215psi all across

what was the differance in the new and old plugs that made you realize they where wrong??? sounds like you fucked up the firing order to tell the truth.

If your exhaust if back firing this is an indication of running rich.
Do you have any CEL?

Now what do you mean a mildly tunned p28?

Like stated above sounds like you had the firing order F'd up.

Check the gap on the plugs and come back with some more feedback.

well the gap's fine on the plugs i just checked it...

no CEL...

my ECU when I bought it was tuned for a B16 "was over a year ago, have never had any problems yet"..

And it seemed kinda like i was running lean, cuz isnt white/greyish tops usually an indication of running lean..??

White tips are not a good thing. Have you checked your 02 sensor?

Take a pic of the plugs and post it.
I've seen many times where the plugs are greyish usually indicates its
running stoich.

When I pull mine they look gray on the tips and have carbon on
the threads.

Don't seem very different from mine.

If you were running lean you wouldn't be hearing back fires.
You be one here asking about pinging on hill and especially now on hot
days.

The plugs didn't damage the car. Sounds to me like you mixed up the firing order.

x2. Recheck your plug wires.

plugs look great, just old. recheck firing order, and make sure you didnt break a connector off the end of one of your wires.

bout damn time..!!

finally got it workin perfect... also after using seafoam I had a bunch of smoke comin from engine bay... could this mean i have an exhaust leak somewhere in there "perhaps where headers meet collector" an also explain why my car has a faint tick that sounds like a bent valve, but could be exhaust rattling somewhere..??

light ticking is common on hondas, its just the nature, nothing to worry about. smoke in bay after seafoam is exhaust leak.

so you fix the firing order yet???
