Dude, if built right LSV owns the GSR...But because you live in Cali, I will have to say go with the GSR...Cops are cracking down hard on cars now, they know what they are looking for...

Like I said if done right, you would do maintance the same...Your from SG, talk to Jorge from South Gate Auto, they do good work there...I would shop on the honda-tech market place for all the parts that you need. Then take it to hime so they can do your swap..

why would you say that? because of the 1.28mm stroke difference? please explain...

The LS/vtec engine will be faster, especially with a B20B bottom, but I think that the GS-R engine is the best.

Maybe if I didn't need a car as a daily driver and it was all track, I would like the prefer to go with the LS/vtec. Actually, I'd probably go H22 instead though.

that was the intelligent answer i was looking for

you want to get into a pissing contest about built motors, how about you run my GSR. Then we'll see who "spanks" who

depends what you want. a p72 head has a smaller combustion chamber giving you more midrange and raising compression, while a pr3 head has a larger one giving you more top end and lowering your compression.

That fair price I guess, but I think that if you take your time and search for your own parts it will be alot cheaper...It just takes time bro...I would go with a B16 head PR3 P30 whatever, then slap some ITR cams, P73 pistons or JDM ITR...blance your LS crank, and a stage 1 or 2 clutch and Blox or ITR Air Intake Manifold...and you are on your way to make good power bro..
And to dohc_monster no one is getting in it with...so STFU...

CTR pistons are good, but if tuned wrong they can cause detenation...That's the reason i mentioned P73 piston over CTR...The P73 can give you 12.1 and up to 12.2 depending on what head gasket you use...

I just finished putting some LS internals in a spare gsr block I had, with the ls pistons it's around 9:5.1 with the b16 head and 9:7.1 withe gsr. The longer stroke gives you more low end torque. I also put some ARP rod bolts in since the stock LS rod bolts suck, and I put a set of Golden Eagle oil squirter plugs in "LS Crank won't clear the oil squirters". I personally like this setup because it's a little more power then a stock GSR bottom end, and more torque, and is a little more turbo friendly if I decide to throw one on in the future. Just figured I'd show you another route.

easier to go with P30 pistons because they will bolt right up to the LS rods.

I dunno about that...all motor LSV even with BIG cams CAN make about the same power as a LS-T with say 7-10lbs. There's a difference in money as far as parts as well as tuning...

I run a LSV and I am in love with the low end torque it has...ITR's just don't stand up. If it's N/A love you want, then build a LSV correctly and you'll be FINE.

Frankly, I wish I'd gone LS-T at this point. ALOT more money to do it right, but SO MUCH MORE capability as far as making power....

good luck

? this shouldnt be a debate...there will be gsr's that will be high compression out the *** with big cams that will make more power than a moderately built ls vtec..but the lsvtec has more potential to be faster and create more torque (hence why it can be faster). Its not an opinion...shouldnt be a **** match about MY lsvtec will womp YOUR gsr...there will always be someone faster....
