ZEX 59300 canshaft..

You can see also that it cracked cam seat also..
I guess I can forget about turbo setup this year! (

damn is the head fucked up bad or any? or just the cap i see it looks cracked

well, looks like he either A: tightened the cap down wrong and snapped it, or B: just got a shitty cam.

 

It was tightened right.. 22 Nm/ 16 lb-ft

I am soooooo cufused about that.. looks like "B" will be the right answer.
And,yes,I'll let ZEX/Comp cams now about this.

did you do it in sequence and steps, or start at one end and work your way to the other tightening them all the way down while you went. this is the first comp/zex i have seen snap.

i had a crower stage 2 for a d16z6 do that same thing and called crower up and they had me send them the broken one and they sent me a new one immediately.

 

Of course I did it in sequence starting from the middle and did it step by step. Actually I've seen the same cam broken,but it was cam lobe which cracked.

 

did it break when you were installing it or after the engine was running?

It broke when the engine was running. I hope ZEX/Comp cams will answer to may e-mails and we will try to solve this. I would send them this for inspection. Sh*t happens..
