I was wondering if the replica type r lips for the 99-00 civic is just a copy of the oem 99-00 si lip or if they are a different design, i tried comparing pics and i cant really tell. I have an op. to get an oem black lip and i had already picked out the type r lip, but if they are basically the same i will go with the oem

 

IMO i believe they r the same...if u get the ABS plastic replica ones then u can kinda tell a diff from the OEM SI...the bottom parts kinda flares out alittle bit more then the OEM

didnt read the thread but the type r replica which is im guessing a replica of integra type r cause the civic type r and si lips are identical, is a little more aggresive looking then the si lip because where they dip down on the sides the dip is a little bigger than the si given a slightly more aggressive appearance. I rock the type r replica front and like it very much.

 

OEM Si = OEM CTR>type r replica

 

in my eyes, the CTR replica flairs noticebly more than the oem si.

 

the replicas do flare more..but those oem si/ctr lips are pretty pricey..but then u get wat u pay for..sell the lip and add some money for the oem lip..but watever floats ur boat man..it would be kinda money wasted painting a abs plastic one because they can just snap like that!!

 

Yea, I snapped mine pretty badly. And then roadkill decided to take it off my car. I'd say get the Honda OEM one. Already painted and will fit perfectly.
