Well it comes that time. I'm selling my laptop. I'm no longer in school and don't need the versitility of a laptop. I'm gonna build my own desktop from scratch for just gaming which is why I'm selling. I bought this laptop for $3100 18mo.'s ago. It is still one of the highest powered Dell laptops to date. They switched over to a less powerful Intel "M" processor when they released the Inspiron 9200. I believe it is one of the last to sport a Pentium 4 processor with hyperthreading. Its a Dell Inspiron 9100 upgraded to a Gen 1 Dell XPS

Here are the specs of the Laptop

· 3.0ghz Pentium 4
· 15.4in WXGA High Quality Screen (Replaced 2months ago because I could. )
· 1.25 Gigabites of 400mz Ram (256 in 1Dimm, 1gig in 1Dimm
· 128 MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 Video Card (Replaced on Monday 06/26/06)
· 60GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
· Windows XP Home Edition (ALL UPDATED to Service Pack 2)
· CD-RW/DVD
· Adobe Photoshop (Expensive Program)
· All Original Programs
· Microsoft Office (inc. Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Frontpage, and Access)


The AWESOME part about the laptop is that it had the original 1yr. warrenty which has since past, BUT also comes with a 3yr. "Complete Coverage" Warrenty purchased same time as laptop ($500). It covers everything inlcuding accident coverage. So you could drop the laptop, spill water on it, etc. and its covered. This is transferable!

Since I owned the laptop I have REPLACED the Motherboard, Soundcard, Videocard, Internal Speakers (All done 06/26/06), and LCD Screen (on 03/21/06). I have added another 1gig of Ram, and a wireless internet card. If you think about everything that was replaced with new, that leaves only the Processor that isn't new. So your recieving a new system as on yesterday w/ a COMPLETE warrenty through mid 2008. The only issue is the battery has lost its charge over the last year. I was quoted 90-100 from Battery Stores and Ebay sales. That is the reason I dropped the price 150 bucks. I would like to get to starting on building my system soon here.


I'm asking $1050 FIRM as it sits OR $900 with 512MB of Ram and no Wireless Card

whats the deal with the battery.. completely dead or what? I wasnt sure with the way you wrote it, but does it burn dvd's too or just cd's? either way, what speed?

 

Battery is toast, although i JJUST purchased one like 2 mins ago new from Ebay, so price stands at 1050 Firm + Shipping. It plays DvD's and Burns CD's at 24x

 

Ill give you $1000 shipped.. take it or leave it. That seems to be a more than reasonable offer considering what they bring on ebay.

Rather help you out and buy it so you can build your desktop than give the money to ebay.
