da integra help
i put a jdm itr in my 92 gs-r and i used the type r half shaft and type r axle for the swap. since i used the type r half shaft and axles shouldnt it work fine. someone told me they wouldnt reach but it seems to work but i do hear a banging sound coming from the driver side of my car when i brake hard. could that be why?
EDIT: so i replaced my lower ball joints and double checked that everything was tight. after i put the car back together my gf was turning the wheels and the axles made a odd noise while turning them and then when i was making sure the brakes were good to go again i noticed the clunk came back. it kinda sounds almost like a piece of metal snaping but nothing is broken. also i noticed it occurs when brakes and taking off but its not a clunk its more of creeping sound... it def sounds like its coming from the axles. maybe i cant use a 97 type r driver side axles... i really dont want to switch out the half shaft and axle if i dont need to.

JACK UP THE CAR AND USED JACK STANDS FOR SAFTY. THE GRAB TH RIM/TIRE AT A 12:00 CLOCK POSITION ANT AT 6:00 CLOCK POSITION AND MOVE THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH TO SEE IF ANY FREEPLAY CAN BE SEEM FROM THE BALL JOINTS MAY NEED HELP TO SEE AND SOME TO MOVE THE RIM/TIRE.
well i had new lower ball joints pressed in today, cost me $30 bucks which isn't bad. i got everything back together but one castle nut i cant get to go on the upper joint cause it keeps spinning. ill just try later but hopefully this solves my problem. i also double checked all the bolts while i was under the car.
p.s. could loose lug nuts make the car clunk when i brake? just curious cause my lugs seem to keep coming loose or maybe cause they are brand new and not sitting 100%, idk...

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the problem but I'll throw it out there. My friend had a lower ball joint nut strip off, then the axle broke, and he had to get the car towed to his house. I replaced the lower ball joint, but to get it out I had to take off the wheel assembly and bring it to a friend at his shop to bang it out and put the new one in. After we got it back together, I noticed that when I put the brake caliper back on the first time, the rotor wasn't fitting properly. It was like the caliper was squeezing the rotor tighter on that side, if that makes sense at all. So when you look at the lugs when the rotor is on, the lugs are not all the same length because the rotor is not on evenly. Then you go and put the wheel back on and don't notice they're not the same. It'll drive, but then from driving and using the brake the rotor will adjust itself, so now it's seated properly but now all your lugnuts seem loose. Don't know, maybe this could be part of your problem with them coming loose. Loose lugnuts for me makes the car have this constant "popping sound" like i'm driving on gravel, but mostly makes the sound when going around a corner.
A popping sound when you brake almost sounds like the top of the strut isn't seated properly in the strut mounts in the engine bay. My car used to do that when I had a cheap coilover kit on it.

hmm, i didnt mess with any of that when i had the car apart this winter so i dunno, but thanks for trying to help. i notive that when i come to a stop by slowly braking the car makes a creeking noise. i havent felt the bang for a few days now but ive been trying not to slam on the brakes for no reason. i still feel it has something to do with the axles or tie rods. all the ball joints look good, i replaced the lowere ones on both sides. i dunno anymore
