A budget on the amp would be good, but a hifonics brutus would be a good choice....and mono FTW
your ears cannot tell left and right when its coming from your trunk, so there is no point in getting a two chanel amp...just make sure you get an amp with dual speaker outputs...Goodluck!

I use theses all of the time, just make sure that you have a 800 watt rms amp. Theses speakers do not sound good under powered to much. I would not go under 300 watts a peice, after that you loses there potential. If you get two that are 4 ohm dvc you have the option of running them at 4 ohm or 1 ohm load. Find a amp that puts out 800rms at 4 ohms. And you will be fine. I would go with a ported box on theses. They pound. Sealed works great too don't get me wrong. Theses speakers can handel abuse. I tourted one of theses at 1000 watts for a week straight. And had no sign of distortion or vc burn. Great budget speakers for someone thats wants good bass for a small amount, And that price at the sight is real low.
A good pioneer amp choice would be PIONEER GMD510M MONO CLASS-D

I wouldn't consider JBL as top of the line equipment.
Possibly, top of the bottom of the line. Maybe a big maybe middle of the line with all the recent crap released to the market.
