Default Skunk2 Camber Kits

Somebody had suggested that I interchange the left for the right, AND, the right for the left to improve on CASTER?

I know what camber and TOE are? But whats CASTER again? And are you R guys doing this? Would this mod be sufficient for track or daily driving or both?

The theory is that if you swap your upper control arms, you increase caster.

Camber
[view from front or rear of car]
( /----\ ) = negative camber
( \----/ = positive camber) -- bad

Toe
toe = are the front wheels pointing towards each other, or away from each other. You want betwwn 0 to 1/8th, most people run 0 or 1/16th
[view from above or below car]
( /----\ ) = toe

Caster
[side view of front wheel from]
|

or

O <- this is what you want

The control arm connects from the center of the wheel to the upper control arm. If it's perfectly vertical, you have 0 caster. Swapping upper control arms produces 3-4 degrees of caster. Most aligment shops will think you've got a bent frame if you show up with 3-4 degrees of caster. Most cars ave between 0-1 degrees of caster.

Increasing your caster improves turn in -- or at least that's what they say, I haven't tried it yet.

Either way, if you haven't taken a High Performance Driving School, you really shouldn't be screwing around with this stuff. Learn how to drive before you start mucking around with your suspension. Otherwise you're just going to wear out your tires faster and prolly just end up crashing your car testing your tite new suspension settings.
