Ya its possible to overcool your engine, the ecu is designed to work at a certain temp range, and if it is overcool it will give bad fuel economy, sluge up oil, and wear out parts of you engine faster because they will not expand to the proper points and clearances will not be right.

but having the (radiator?) fan run all the time wont cool it that drastically..

lots of people run their radiator fans all the time

u won't overcool it from running the fan on all the time...knew a guy who came up from georgia or some **** and had his thermostat disconnected and had the fan on a high/low/off switch, when I was driving the car (when my friend was in the hospital and I was driving his car) I would just leave it off until I got to place where I'd idle and then shut turn it on high, or low if I was moving slow...worked fine for me, no problems :-\ Still stupid idea to d/c the thermostat IMO
