Default 5th gen jdm fog light switch holder anyone????

ok i guess most instructions say that we have to take out one of either the Dimmer, Cruise, and Moonroof switches,

but isnt there a switch holder that has an extra slot for the foglight switch? it goes sideways... i saw it somewhere.

does anyone know where i can get that switch holder and the foglight switch that goes sideways?

very much appreciated

You're thinking of the switch holder that has an extra slot for the USDM fog light switch. You can probably find one on ebay or possibly http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

prelude1897 is correct. the bezel with the 5 holes is the usdm NOT jdm. JDM fog light switch will not fit. i tried, i sold my bezel on ebay for $50. you're going to have to remove one of the switches you already have, i removed the dimmer switch after i turn up to the brightess setting.

Yes, you can use the USDM switch (and therefore holder) with the jdm fogs. However, you have to do a tiny bit of rewiring on the USDM switch (or the JDM cable that you connect to it) to get this to work.

The original set of instructions I saw on how to connect the JDM fogs to the USDM switch relied on rewiring the JDM cable. Since that's a harder part to come by than the USDM switch, I found an easy way to open up the USDM switch and change it around instead. I posted a write-up of the process (with the other steps cribbed from the original author) on preludeoneline.com some months before they went pay-only (and took my own notes away from me! grrr).

I also posted a copy of the notes on the honda-tech.com site (I think it was my first or second post), but I'll be d*mned if I can find my own post using the search engine here. Maybe someone with better ht search-fu can dig it up?
