Shifter Question!
Hey was up. i recently installed and short shifter in my Eg hatch and the gears are really hard to put in. One reason i think is because its hitting my exhaust and second i think its on backwards. I also just broke the shifter trying to shift to first gear. I need help knowing which way the shifter goes. Right now its pointing towards the front of the car. Some times when i would shift to first i would hit my hand in the sterio. My question is which way should the sifter go. Facing the back or the front. By this i mean the bend in the shifter. Anyhting will help. Thanks

I had the same problem with my skunk2, you just tighted the shifter to tight to the linkage. it isnt gonna fall of or anything so just loosen it up alittle and you'll be gravy.
You have to spin the shift lever to adjust height. It should spin where the shift lever ball connects.
And yeah...it would feel a little more comfy if the bend was to the back unless you have long arms!
