Default Looking for tires... but NO ONE MAKES a 17" drag radial less than 245 wide!

I am in need of two tires. I had Kumhos before my engine/turbo build and i know the kumho's won't cut it anymore. I wanted the Nittos, but they don't make them in a 17. BFG's are toooooo wide. and the Yoko's are too wide as well. I was looking for a 205-40-17 with a Z/ZR rating. Where should I look next? What brand? Thanks

Get the TS-1s if you do not have to deal with winter weather. The FZ4s if you need an all season tire. I have used both and Of course the TS1s are better though...for what it seems like you want.

I had a 190/50/17 on my 900 ninja. Metzler. They do not make them that SMALL for cars because there is no need to put drag tires on an integra or civic or small car. I mean, race at the track, but a car that is going to fully utilize that 245+mm of tread is going to be running 300+ hp and blah blah blah. Sorry it is no help, but there is just no demand for that size tire.

look around at the import scene and take a look at the turbo civics, preludes, integras, etc..... I've seen daily driven honda's putting down 300+ whp. With that kind of power, a good tire IS needed. That is why I inquired about a drag radial. Traction is nice to have on the street too... not only the track.

again rtzx strikes again. oh well. i would suggest downgrading to a smaller size wheel, i have 17s on my car and will be doing that soon as i would like to have drag radials so i dont have to change out my wheels/tires between track and street. just a suggestion.

well i will be downsizing to 16's soon, but i just don't think i'm ready to give up the look of the 17's. they feel the wheel well so nicely. i'm just looking for a tire to hold me over for 6 months or so... i drive pretty hard and i don't want to worry about traction, so this is why i'm not going to just get some kumho's and call it a day.
