Final Drive and Flywheel Question...PLEASE LOOK INSIDE
Ok, I am building a 210whp Toda Drag racing car and I am wondering what Final Drive and/or flywheel to use.....oh yea, this is a 2000 type R and I don't want too much wheel spin, I want a car that I can control
and launch well with

Have you ever been to the strip? You've been throwing this fictional Jun/Toda car around for quite a while now.
For someone who used to hate the sound of VTEC...you're really going to hate Toda cams.
Hate the sound of Vtec???? WTF are you talking about....and I already have all the parts I need for the Toda car, and I go to the strip twice a month, ran 12.89@111mph with my nitrous and 14.3 @ 97.48mph with I/H/E
when you were defending the big red wheels on your car by telling us all what a clueless riceboy you used to be...you owned a muscle car previously and didn't like the sound of VTEC. Am I correct? or were you bullshitting?
incidentally...putting those big red wheels back on might help improve your traction once you hit 210whp

Yes, when I first bought my car 2 years ago, I didn't like VTEC at all for a week or so then I began to like it, as for my "fictional" Toda car, what would you know, I already have my Toda C cams, my endyn pistons, etc..................
just that you were talking about it forever and couldn't decide on cams
sorry for bringing this OT, what with all the fur flying here lately...anyone else want to help this pinhead out?

Traction is the issue I'm worried about???? will it be an issue? obviously sticky tires will be used, slicks at the track and sticky tires on the front
4.78 is weak sauce.
4.92 or don't even bother changing the gear.
Comptech flywheel. 6.7lbs.

To pick a final drive, you need to know your transmission gearing and your trap speed. Then you do the math so that you are at the top of 4th gear as you cross the line (or the top of 5th if you prefer, but I think 4th would be the better choice).
But then he would have made a logical, informed decision instead of listening to the useless riceboy babblying on some of the other forums, most of which just install all this chit becuase it says toda/jun/spoon/mugen on it and may or may not help the driver actually reach whatever goal they have for the car.
At least pinhead (reciting the user name, not a flame) has a definate goal in mind for building his car. Shitcan the NOS, run 13's N/A

Ok, with either of the final drives I'd still be at the top of 4th crossing the line, my big concern is traction in first gear...

Will you have a LSD? That, in combo with slicks, should keep the tires planted pretty well. You'll also want to upgrade engine mounts and control arm bushings to keep these parts from flexing (which causes wheel hop and traction problems).
I will have energy suspension bushings and motor mount inserts and the stock Type R LSD and MT 15x8x22 Slicks....and on the street I run Kumho712's, Azenis, or Toyo T1's whichever one's are availble the cheapest at the time
Ok, let me elaborate...
I dont know chit about drag racing. But it seems to me that if you'll be at the top of 4th gear using either of these FD's, the consensus would be that go with the higher (numerically) FD and the Toda Flywheel.
Wheelspin on launch wont be a problem with slicks, as they tend to hook real hard. Might want to invest invest in some stronger driveshafts though. Dont forget the clutch if you have the tranny out.

Not really....
Alot of us have been to the strip a few times to run the car through the 1/4, but dont make a habit of it.
