May trade in...
Hello,
I'm thinking when the Si Sedan comes out this fall, I may trade in my 2006 Civic (Ex, MT Coupe) for one. I know i'm going to be losing money, but I really wanted an Si and since i've been creating my credit history I can probably (finally) put a car in my name, as I had to go through my parents (whom have had bad credit in the past) for my 2006 Civic Ex. Just wanted your input on this decision. Good? Bad? Not worth it?
Is this even allowed or heard of? I'm currently paying for the Ex right now (financed, not leased) -- the reason I got a Civic was because I needed a reliable car for school and work - my 240SX kept on stalling during downshifting and other problems persisted as well... - anyways, all the Si Coupes were gone and now whenever I return to the Dealership all the other Civics are no where to be seen, so the Civic (Si and Non-Si) seem to be pretty popular. I didn't even know a Sedan version of the Si was going to be coming out. So I have another chance at getting an Si, i'm trying to jump the gun so I can get one ASAP.
Again, I would like to see other opinions on this decision, so any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Whenever you buy a new car you're gonna lose money, no matter which way you slice it. I say wait out on your EX for a while and let the HYPE die down. Are these gonna be overmarked as ridiculously as the Si coupes? I suspect as much, just something to keep in mind.
I'm going to agree with Newk here. I think you should wait a bit for the hype to die down. If you keep the mileage low on your EX and keep it well maintained, you shouldn't have any problem trading it in later and not be so upside down on it.
Another thing to bear in mind is your credit rating. The longer you pay on your EX the better your rating will get and the better loan rate you'll get later. That is always a +

i am thinking the same thing. i need to get out of ep3 before the miles get toooo high so now that i found a 06 si for msrp i am gonna get it,.....but i really want a four door,...so i will drive the coupe for a year till the 4 door hype goes down
Thanks for the input, I guess it's pretty unanimous... I'll wait for a while longer - But I wonder how many four door Si's will be produced... I can't even find a Si Coupe anymore...
P.S. I currently have over 3000 miles on my car right now... which isn't too bad, considering I got the car at the end of Jan.
Again, thanks for your opinions.
