Default CTR cover almost done!! Still need to sand.....PICS!!!

Ok, I originally got the cover for $10 and decided to paint one day... it sat around for awhile until I was extremely bored one day. taped and ready for paint.

Messed up by not getting the right paint.(see below) Dont use Krylon wrinkle ever!!! bad outcome....

Used some Aircraft remover and stripped it before doing it correctly and taking my time.

Sorry about the pics still haven't got a nice camera yet.....

OK, so I shouldn't use Krylon wrinkle paint.

What kind did you end up using?

did you have to sand the valve cover down first and then spray or no?

no, If there is a scratch or something then yes, Mine was in good condition, so I used some aircraft remover in an aeresol can and it came perfectly clean.

Ive used Krylon wrinkle before and it looked like yours did after about 10-12 hours of drying...but the longer is sits and is exposed to some heat the more the "wrinkle" tightens up and looks a lot like stock.

I prefer when the lettering are not painted. The paint just looks good though.
