Tuning for a honda? Power Fc tuning myself?!
in the next month i will have my A'PEXi Power Fc for my JDM B16A... i have basic bolt ons and i was curious what would be ness. in order to tune the car myself... i have heard many people say that tuning your car on your own is the best way to do it and it will help you understand more about your motor.
What are the risks that go along with this, what are the pro/cons pretty much, would you recommend that i take it to a shop and have it tuned, or should i wait till i get more mods and then do a full tune?
any insight is helpful! thanks

Do you actually know what you are doing? Judging from the way your post is written, I say no. That said, there's always something to learn. On the same token, things can go bad real fast. I'd say take ot to a reputable shop.
Pros: You learn, but at what price?
Cons: Same as above

well i was looking to do just a basic street tune, the words i used above made it sound like a retarded comment, but all i'm looking to do basicly is a basic street tune, and thats it...
the Power Fc controls VTEC engagement, Air/Fuel, and Timing... i figured these are pretty basic things that i could do a street tune with and then after a while take it to a shop and get the full dyno tune, but by the time i take it to the shop i will have more parts on as well...

To start you'd need a wideband o2 with a gauge. (Data logging would be helpful). With this, you can monitor your Air/Fuel adjust accordingly.
Worse case scenario you could end up ruining your motor by running too lean and causing detonation.

i have a few friends that can help me with the street tune i believe so i will ask them to help me out
