help v-tc aint workin!!1

hey i'm new to this site, and i was driving my 97 prelude and i was racing an si, and as i was gettin ready to shift into 2nd, i redlined at 6500rpm's. and i'm not hittin v-tec what so ever. what could cause this problem? thanks in advance...

your car is probably in "limp mode" this is something that happens to some people at times.

limp mode is not a loose term the way everyone puts it. Limp mode is a very rare occurance.
