Default New Car

Hi guys, I finally was able to buy an integra after many years of waiting to get one. I was able to purchase a 1998 integra LS with 113,000 miles on the car itself. However, when i popped the hood i notcied that it wasnt an LS engine. It was a JDM B18C which is awesome. I took it to my friend's dads shop and he figured the engine only has about 35-40 thousand miles on it. So i think i found a pretty good car. I would love to hear from you all and I am ready to start to learn alot about cars.

Well my dad was the one who went out to buy the car. We got it for 6,000.

Yea the engine seems to be in great shape. I did however have to recently convert it from OBD1 to OBD2 because it was just not passing emissions. We tried many different things but nothing seemed to work out.

No kidding? Have you checked the engine code and manifold to see if it really is JDM?

Well as far as the block reads.....B18C I assume that means that it is JDM because don't USDM blocks read B18C1?
