Default Ground Control Spring rates

Ok, I have searched everywhere and even called Ground Control. GC will not give uot spring rates if you aren't buying right then! I was really pissed about how I was being treated, but anyway. Here is what I need, what are the spring rates for the street GC and the race GC. This is going to be my daily driver so I need a good ride, but I am also going to 1/4 and Auto X a bit with my lude, so I want an in-betweeen the two. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have no idea what their kit spring rates are, but you know you can specifiy spring rates from GC. What shocks are you going to use?

I am using the Koni Yellows. That is what I want to do, use custom spring rates, and GC is giving me a problem. I am ordering through a distrubutor, but the distributor doesn't even have the rates!

i ran 400 up front and 600 in the rear...rides great on the street and if you tighten up the rear shocks it will rotate nicely for autox

Awesome, that is what I was considering doing. After talking to a couple of people who have Civics and Integra, and getting their spring rates. I was thinking a 450 up front and a 550 to 600 in the rear. Thanks again.

You really shouldn't be running greater in the rear unless you're drag racing. I'm running 650 in the front an 450 in the back. That's fairly close to the Tein HA spring rates which are 670 in the front and 450 in the back.

Yeah, I am going to be doing some drag racing. What kind of ride do those spring rates give you? What kind of shocks are you running?

by running stiffer in the rear he's setting the car up to be a more neutral handler and (at those rates) make it drift much easier.

Why would you want to drift easier?
Your shocks will probably have to be revalved for 600 lb/in springs.

That's not nuetral handling. At those rates he's setting it up to kick the back end out all the time. The back end is really light already.

I'm running Koni Yellows. Well, that not true, since they're in the box right now waiting to be sent out to be revalved and shortened.

So why are your Koni's needing the work? Is that something that has to be done with the springs, or are they just worn out? I thought the GC were supposed to just slip over the Koni to be as close to a full coil over as you could get? I think I am going to go with the 450 up front and the 550 in the rear.

Dirty, how does your car ride? I want to be able to drive this thing everyday and not sake the **** out of it!

Here's a good article that Billy wrote. http://www.ntpog.org/reviews/groundc...dcontrol.shtml

My shocks are going into the rebuild center for similar modifications. I'm going with different spring rates, though.

What spring rates are you going with, DirtyLude?
gsr*lude, you need to revalve the Konis to handle the high spring rates. I think they're rated for 500 lb/in before you need revalving, but I'm not sure.
