Well I haven't had my turbo EM1 for some time now, but my buddy is itching to build up his d16?? out of his 93 Civic EX and put it in a 92-95 hatch. I am not sure about a D series build up and am trying to read up on the differences between a D and a B build up.

I have read about notching clearances for the rods and the oil pump issues with D's. If you have any tips or trick lets me know.

Also will a D15 trans out of a civic cx bolt up okay and hold around 300 hp?

When building a d series what Honda components are preferred? (example-Y8 head z6 block)

cx tranny will work, but it has tall gears. and as far as notching, if i remember, eagle rods are the ones that need notching. never built a d. if bauleycivic is still here he has d series knowlege.

 

d-series.org and read, read.depending on which rods you get they may not need be nothced
