Default Intakes for AT's?

Hello to all,

I have noticed many threads on various sites pertaining to CAI's and Short Rams for vehicles but few on the Fit.

My question is directed towards such intake set ups for the Automatics. I have seen only the Weapon R Short Ram available for the automatics. I have seen the forced CAI Fujita installation and that just looked horrible in my opinion. Does any one know of any other Short Ram and or any CAI's for the automatic Fit?

All posts and pictures would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

i know of AEM cuz ive seen pix of em here on ht but i as well wanna know what's goin on w/ the auto fit's and CAI's. I won't accept short ram's cuz ive always used CAI's. Fujita looks exactly like the AEM one but i'd prefer the AEM cuz it's street legal so no police problem. I just hope it'll fit my automatic as well...i guess i can be the guinea pig to R&D on my car.

Weird. I called F5 and they said they do not currently have a CAI or Short Ram for the 5AT's yet.

But I find this on Egay...

AEM has CAI for the manual tranny only. Part No. 21-518. My contact says they will start developing the CAI for automatics "in a couple of weeks". Meaning it won't be out for at least a month.

For Auto rides it will be better to use back the stock air box instead of a CAi or SRI. This will cause your AT ride to lost the low end torque.

Assuming I left the stock box there and dropped in a replacement filter i.e. Spoon or Mugen, would there even be a noticible difference? I don't want to drop $80 for an air filter if its not going to benefit the car at all...

Also, according to Fujita's dyno results, http://www.f5air.com/images/dyno/sr1924.gif, the AT with the SR doesn't lose any low end torque or HP. The intake is here: http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...d=882
