200miles on new motor. everything is new
turbo is used from a friends for 3k miles.
compression is 180psi on all 4 cilinders. leakdown is great. all 4 cilinders only leak about 3-4%.
car smokes a **** load and burns oil. so i would think its the turbo
is there any way to check if its 100% the turbo before i send it out to get rebuilt??

ok i will try that tomorrow
the smoke is gray in color and i'm not loosing any coolent so i know its from the oil. i can wipe the oil off from my muffler tip.
the turbo have very little to no shaft play.
if i had blow by wouldent it show in the in the leak down test?? wouldent the leakdown be much worse that 3% if there was so much blow by to burn and smoke so much oil??
i'm running the moroso/endyne catch can set up with the 2 ports on the back of the block. i also have a -12 line on the front of the valve cover going to the catch can. open atmosphere system with no pvc and no vacuum. if that means anything
any other help will be much apericated

to see if the turbo is smoking or of the engine is, you need to pull the turbo off. completely. stick your finger into the exhaust and if you have oiley residue there and then on the exhaust outlet side of the turbo, it's frm the motor. if you don't have a tarish stick residue on the inlet but the outlet side does on the turbo, it's the turbo. Also usually not always but usually both sides of the turbo will leak, so you can also while the turbo is off the car check the inlet for the compressor, if there is oil there, it's the turbo for sure.
