I filled my freshly swapped hf tranny yesterday with 2 quarts through the speed sensor hole. I couldn't get the fill plug out to make sure i was putting in the right amount. It was completely empty, as i'd just swapped the tranny. Can anyone tell me how much it really needs in total, and how much comes out when you drain it?

Well, the manual says 1.9 quarts...

 

Does that take into consideration that it was completely empty though? Is there a total capacity that is greater than what drains at during an ordinary fluid change? I remember it being more.
