Default Removing goo from base sticker.

Hey, this is a question about removing the sticky goo that's left on the windshield after taking the sticker off.

If anyone's lived on an Air Force base before, then you know what i'm talking about. For those who haven't, when you register your car, they put a decal that siginify's you can go on there. Well, when the time comes to remove it, it leaves a very sticky substance.

I've tried goo gone, but all it did was smear it. Also tried a razor blade since it's glass, and that removed most of it, but the rest smeared also when I tried goo gone again. Anyone have any thoughts?

I went to Autozone, or Advanced or one of those and got some bug and tar remover. Took everything off great, if that doesn't work try some simple green.

I actually let it sit there for about 5 minutes.

Tried blotting it with a towel, then re-applied some for another 5. That's when the smearing happened.

I'll look into the bug and tar remover though. Need some for my bumper anyways, thanks!

Just spray it with some water or window cleaner... grab a blade, and scrape! Easy as that.
