when the car idles it's supposed to be a just a constant hum. well mine is smooth, but randomly it makes a faint "bum" sound. doesn't sound bad, but i have had a bad experience w/ burning up cams and was wondering if this could be a factor. what would be causing this noise?

You are burning up cams in a Z6? You might have more then an idle issue.

 

i just got a new head and i don;t want to expletive it up. one was an a6 and the other a z6. i think bc the rocker arm clearance was off.

 

dont be sad...my car idles like its a v8, runs good
