ok. today i noticed my boot on my outer cv joint ripped. so i took it out just like a min ago and i noticed that is different. by that i mean that there is no retaining ring for the bearings like this inplies. i cant seem to fing that litle ring that the book tells me to get out


now. i got a pic of the axle im trying to take appart to show u guys what i mean.





as u can see, the cv axle doasent have a ring like tha book sais it does. btw the book is a chilton civic 88-91. i hope anybody know whats going on.
