got my first ticket in my prelude
going 80+ in a 65......whats the best way of handling this.....I only have 1 point on my record
1.pay the bail amount
2.plead guilty & take classes

either way you will be paying money. its just a matter of whether or not you feel like wasting a day and going to court. how it usually works, you either pay the fine on the ticket, or you go to court, get your charge reduced and pay less and maybe a class or whatever.
give it to a lawyer, BTW, I got my first ticket in my old prelude too, followed closely by #2,3,4,5,...............#41,42,43,44.......now im at #47

i would't neccessarily go to class just yet. the judges dont like if you go to class before the court date,. they feel like you already given them a choice instead of them giving YOU a choice. thats what i was talking about awhile ago with a neighborhood cop here.
In CA, you are allowed to go to traffic school once every 18 months. If you been to traffic school already in the past 18 months, then your best bet is to get a lawyer or hope that the cop doesn't show up in court.
Also, if you one point already, then I be very cautious. One point in CA is still consider as a good driver. Another point on your record will be two pts, and this will more then likely increase your insurance premium.
