Hi, Im interested in getting an s2000, questions inside
Ive heard from a friend that there are years that I should stay away from?
I know this is a blant question but, how would this car be as a daily driver?
Are there high maintenence fees?
And for those that have the car and the 4 weather seasons, how does it handle in each?

I got my S2K with intentions of it being my daily driver
my main project is a RB25DET(skyline) powered 240sx
Maintenence isnt much on these cars.
Change Fluids when needed and so on.
I live in PA, (not far from you)
and i plan to drive the car for the most part,
intill snow hits, then ill drive my mothers Subaru (AWD)

hey i live somewhat in your area, im in nj and i live on top of a mountain, mountain creek ski resort if ur familiar...but i use the 05 as my daily driver, ive had it for a year so i drove in the snow this past winter and i made it up one of the steepest roads in nj in the snow with low tread...its doable if u know how to drive rwd. the maintenece is the same as any car, change the oil, but the s can go between 4-6k between oil changes so thats less frequent then some.
i changed the stock tires after a year of use and spent about 600 on a high quality set of summer tire replacements. otherwise no unusual expenses for the car, its a honda.
the after market parts can be expensive, but as a daily driver i dont have any problems...being where u live u might want to be concerned about driving a stick because of the traffic u have from my limited knowledge of the area.

Not sure there are any you would need to stay away from if you're talking about maintenance issues. There are some years that have features that are preferable for some folks:
'02+ have glass rear window
'02-'03 have better ecu for 2.0 liter cars
'04-'05 are easier to drive for most US drivers
'06 easier still to drive with added traction control; ecu can be flashed (first year to allow that)
Maintenance fees are not much different than for any other Honda...other than tires...most folks go through tires (especially rear tires) pretty quickly so make sure to budget for that.
