2001 Integra Gs-r. Well my problem is at a cold start it would stall, take quite a few times to get it running and also the car would struggle shortly after the start even on the road, couldnt really get pass 3-4k, car would basically really run like ****.

Now with this symptoms i figured it was ignition, i replaced Ignitor and the Coil, cleaned the cap and roter and distributor isnt <U>too</U> bad well. I still have these problems, and what really gets me, is when the car seems like its about to stall and start really running like crap, the speed gauge goes crazy, i could be idle and it would jump from 20 to 10 to 0 and this has also happened to me while driving.

Next thing im going to do is replace the relay and hopefully that might help since it seems it may be starving for fuel? But where does the speedometer come into play there, what could cause that also? seems to be tied in with my current problem of the stalls.

*also i have a quick start, car starts fast then is unstable then usually stalls a few times and maybe on time not clicking over for a while, but eventually starts*

And also for some reason doesn't usually do this when i have been driving often, only when the car sits.

 

problem solved! stupid person who owned it be4 hacking eveything to crap . now just finish off with a new cap and rotor and some wires and youll be good. sorry we didnt see the prob earlier but hey u basicly got a new ignition system

 

definately not fuel related...battery/alternator, bad connection..something along those lines
