Tire place lost my wheel lock key, are they all the same from honda
i got new tires installed and the tire place said that they put my key back, buts its not there and they donthave it. Are all these key locks unique? Am i gonna have to get them cracked off?
My first impression when I read your post was, yeah right, sure they lost it. Unless proven otherwise, I'd assume someone working there pocketed the key knowing they or someone they know can now jack Honda wheels with the oem locks. And considering they know your address (if you gave it to them to put in their computers or bill of sale) my advice would be to pick up a couple sets of aftermarket locks, then go to the Honda dealer to have them remove the oem ones.
Hope my paranoia and distrust of people are unfounded in this situation, but doesn't hurt to be safe.

Chub, there are only 12 combinations. You can go to the dealership to figure out which one but your car should have came with the wheels lock packaging. In it, there is a postcard for ordering another key.
I believe they're all unique. But I think I remember back when I had OEM wheel locks, there was a little piece of paper that came with the lock that had some code on it. I think you can take that to the dealership and have another one made.

Are they going to fab another one up right there in the garage?
ha ha j/k...
If you're lucky enough to have the original package the wheel locks came in, just take that the the dealership and they may have one there. If they don't have it, it won't take them but a few days to get a new one in.
I keep my packaging at home with the 4 OE lugs the locks replaced.
