h22 type-s?
I tried searching and even using Google but I come up with very vague results.
Anyways, I've been looking at HT for a few months now and I noticed no one talks about the Type S h22. When I bought my car (93 VTEC Lude) a few years back, I knew NOTHING (not to good at this point either, but I'm learning alot by browsing here) about H series engines or Honda's for that matter. I do recall however asking the guy "So the engine pushes out 190 HP?" He said no and said "it's a type-s engine that pushes out 210 HP."
After thinking about when I first bought the car... was this guy BSing? I mean it does fit some.... 1 of the things I searched and that's a red cover.
I also have a buddy who has a lightly modified (I/E) VTEC lude. And when we have a quick 1/4 mile I always pull ahead quickly and finish by at least 2 car lengths and I only have I/H/E.

No he is not. The 4th gen vtec ludes came with a 190 hp engine (at the crank) and in japan they had a especial 5th gen type-s prelude (kind of like the type R) that produced 220 hp (at the crank) which gave the lude 100hp/liter.
Hope that answered ur question.

well the red valve cover can fit on a norma H22 motor also... check your motor code and tell as what is it H22A, H22A1, H22A4 ????
He maybe swaped a type S motor in there... who knows?
