What kind of refrigerant do we have?
I have a 95 Integra, A/C has never been recharged. It's getting hot as hell out, and I'm wondering whether what type of refrigerant I have.. so I can get it recharged. Is it R-12 or 134a? Thanks.
1994+ - R134a
I remember almost buying a '93 Prelude VTEC and it didn't have the new refrigerant, but the '94 Si in the lot did...not exactly a direct-correlation, but hopefully correct.
But, if you've never had a leak, the coolant shouldn't have gone anywhere.
And, if you do have a leak, they won't refill it unless they fix the problem (or at least they shouldn't).

Look under the hood. There is a label. Three areas tend to leak: condenser, compressor and evap. Best thing will be bring it to the shop and let them fix it. I will hook you up if you are in the dallas area. Good luck.

Went to autozone and bought two cans of 134a, and a plumbing set. Took me about 30 minutes, I let all of the pressure out of the system, and emptied the cans in. WOW! I have a/c now!! Cost me 25 bucks. Not a bad deal.
