So we have this huge trailer to pull and...
We have a 48 foot trailer which allow's us to carry three cars to the track. Why so big you ask? well it was cheaper than the smaller one, any way its fricking huge...
So one of us took one for the team and bought a big a$$ Dodge duel to pull it and it worked ok but it only got 6-7 mpg pulling that monster and we still had to pay for hotels..
So we found this in on race junk.. Did you know you can take out a mortgage on a truck?? 18 speeds of furry with a series 60 Detroit in it.
It has a 7 kw generator on it which is so damn nice and one huge ac " were in Texas and its 100 out side so, we hide in side and play ps2..
Now we get 11-13 mpg and fly down the road.. We went to Hallett last weekend for our first big trip in the truck and every one though we were some kind of pro team.. " Until we showed them just how much we sucked on the track, that will teach them..

Mortgage on a truck? Do tell.
And don't worry about Hallett. It's a difficult track and the locals pounce out-of-towners.

Mortgage on an RV. It's a house - just a mobile one.

Gotcha. My mind was shutting down at the thought of payments on a 6 year, 7%, 175k auto loan.
Whoa, and there is an obvious need for GAP insurance. Man, I'd hate to buy a new one of those w/o being able use it as a depreciating business expense.

I say that that was well bought. Just thinking about the GAP ins on a new puppy. 175ish new with 30% initial depreciation = better be a depreciating business asset. Yikes! 50k loss driving it off the showroom floor.

Yep, even when i cant keep my foot out of it.. The only way it seems to get worse is if we travel with the generator and main 220 ac on then it drops down to 9-10..
The Gen also runs on Diesel fuel so it draws some off .. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Track rat »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Do you really get 11-13 mpg with a DDC series 60 in that hoss?</TD></TR></TABLE>

That's remarkable.
My 5.4 gas Expedition only gets 13.5 while pulling a meager 4,500 lbs.
...and it only sleeps one, sort-of-comfortably!
