Default HEEEEELLLPPPP

Okay...um.....my hood is wierd. At the tip of the bonnet in between the headlights, My hood is bent a little forward so my hood will not shut all the way. THe mechanism will lock but my hood comes up when driving. The mechanism that locks the hood down keeps it from flying and destroying my face and windshield though. How do I fix this? or should I buy a CF hood?

Pop your hood and pull up on the piece where your latch is (between your headlights). Just pull on it until it bows up a little. That will let you r latch shut all the way and it shouldn't let the hood release without manually popping it.

EFs are known for there ******* crappy design of a hood latch. So hard to align correctly. Take your time, Untighten the hood latch and adjust it until it shut the hood to the point where it doesn't open. Please, for the love of god, do NOT drive without it latched 100% of the way. Cause eventually, it will open up, and it will destroy your windshield/hood, and it it's at really high speeds, your roof line which your insurance company will not want to fix, and the car will more then likely be scrapped.

I've had a hood open up, so has my brother, ef hood latches FTL.

my hood latch is fucked too, its loose I think. you have to push it down hard and let go , then pull the release for it to open.. I think its pretty common

as far as your question.. i have nothing productive to tell you
