tein basic vs. omni coilovers.
im torn between these 2 setups for my integra. i dont need anything crazy, its just a little more than a weekend car. but not a total daily, and it will get some track usage in the future, nothin i need /want a gnarly setup for.
but i was wondering how do these to systems compare to eachother as they are pretty equal in price. i figure there would be some people in here that have experience with them.
i want to hear it all, good and bad.
so spill it. hahaha

omni is stiffer than basic. omni is cheaper. omni had bad review(but fixed). omni has okay customer service, omni one has dust cover. tein is JDM, tein color is better. Tein has been around for very long time.

My Omni's ride quite nicely. I was very surprised at the ride quality for a full coilover. It's stiffer than stock obviously, but not by a whole lot. I've never ridden on any Teins though, so I can't comment about them.
EDIT: I have the street springs, BTW.

TEIN SS
.. no complaints, stiff, corners and handles well...just dont go over hidden pot holes at night, like i did and blew a shock

I have da tein basic kit on my integra, it's been almost a year since i put them on and i havent had not one problem with them. so trust me when i say that ur car will be driving smooth and stiffer. But i want to upgrade to the tein flex.
I rock Omni's (sport spring rate) they are a little on the stiff side, but nothing that will kill you. It is my daily and I cary my 1 year old around with me, and he usually falls asleep with in 10 minutes of being in the car if that helps.
thanks lots of good info in here. yea the roads are hell out here in ohio. potholes and **** in the road like crazy. ill prolly go with the tein basics, sounds like they ride a little nicer for street use which will prolly be the main use of the car. thanks

Depends on what you want...if you want a stiff, race-like ride go with the omni powers. With Tein now-a-days, you're paying for the name and a good (not great) street ride. Two of my friends rock omni's and one rocks Teins, and the omni's are definetly more legit. Omni power is up and coming and you can still get full race coilovers pretty cheap (i.e $550-800). If you're going to spend money on your suspension, why not get more bang for the buck? Again, Tein is a huge name and thats what you will be paying for. You can rock the little stuffed coilover in your pics though
