is it just me or does it happen to someone else also? i drive alot and i have to sit in my crx for long periods of time sometimes and i get lower back pain. i only get these back pain when im in my crx. is it because i have been sitting for too long? i was thinking about changing out the seats to something else. what are good comfortable seats?

 

I got that as well in my old CRX, had to switch it our for a sparco Sprint, then i got my 01 LX Civic, had the same problem and switched it out for a sparco speed.

IMO the only way to find a "comfortable seat" is to try a bunch.

I know this is harder to do, but ive had some good and bad experiences. All seats fit differently. IMO i love my Sprints/Speeds with the lower kidney pads, helps my bad back a LOT on long trips, but some people hate the non-reclinable style.

Just dont cheap out, i bought a set of no name SRD copies, ended up being even worse for my back then the OEM CRX seats.

 

 

well if you seat is old and broken down yeah...there is a metal support that hits right in your kidney... I have a bad back and I couldnt go on a 30 minute drive without pain in my buddys crx (had broken down seats) but I have near perfect SiR seats (same design as us) and have taken several very long trips (1,200 mi, 1,000 mi and 700 mi) with 0 back pain...just the normal stiffness that goes with driving long periods of time and even that was mimimal compared to some other seats I have rode long distances in...

 

yeah my lower back can only take about an hour in the factory seats, i just ordred some tenzo rally seats, they should be in next week, hopefuly it gets rid of the pain.
