tuners out thier whats the best advised to start on the Horsepower. I got the 2006 EX Civic coupe. Think the airflow is good start or a nice Muffler. looking at the money after i get back from overseas in a year but im allready looking and learning.

Mufflers make noise. If you want a noticeable difference in power, you'll need to do more than that.

Nitrous, turbo, s/c, etc.

Don't the Civics (non Si) have the cat/downpipe intergrated into the head?

there are no pros here. they're all 18 year old kids who think body kits will make their car go faster than a turbo kit. also, they're living with their parents and feel proud of themselves b/c they're paying their own car payment!!!!

as you can see their priorities are:

HID lights
Tints
Rims
Lowering kit
Amps
Speakers
alarm system
flipout dvd player
5hp cold air intake for $250
paintin brake caliper for that racing/aftermarket look

once in a blue moon, someone mention turbo and the rest of the thread stay quiet....ribbit....ribbit.

compare it to the average supraforums member:
boost controller
upgraded exhaust
bigger turbo
turbo the NA

tint
Rims

ok but this isnt the supra forum. YOu should respect everyone and their opinions. And if you want to correct someone, do so by giving your own opinion and options without insulting the other. Also a little proof won't hurt to convince others.

and knows who to go for when asking technical questions: car salesman and friends with new cars!!!

LOL this kid won't let it go. Dude, it's not my fault you're retarded and only go by what others say instead of trying it out yourself.
I never in any way possible said i was a pro. Unlike your little gay *** supra forum u love so much, the 06 civic si is a new car and t here are few mods unlike an old *** car like the supra. get it straight your head

So they would be better letting mommy and daddy pay for it? They may not know a damn thing about cars, but they should be proud of themselves if they pay their own car payment.

As for the topic, go basic with bolt-ons at first. Intake, Exhaust, maybe some headers. Later move on to turbo, reflashing, ect.

I would suggest you first see what is available for the car, what you can do that will not kill the warranty and what you can do and still keep the car smog legal (if that is important to you).

To point,

I started with Cold Air Intake, Cat-back exhaust, Reflash and intake heat shield. When a decent Header - Catalytic system comes out, I will look into that as well. I have to keep a Catalytic on the car if I want to drive it on the street in California.

I don't know anyone who does "illegal" smog checks.

As for Forced Air induction systems, most people don't have $4,000 to $6,000 to drop on a new car, and any forced air induction system opens the door to a complete void of factory warrant. However, I will probably take this step in a year or so. My car has a K20aZ3 motor, which is better built for a Supercharger. Anyway. before I do any Forced Air Induction I am going to research the crap out of them all first.

Start small and work up is my suggestion.

yea cause right now i am not satisfied with the stage 1 turbo that hks and greddy have for the 06 civics....i am thinking about upgrading to a bigger turbo...i mean, after all, the 06 model civic has been around for soo much longer than the supra

P.S. a lot of people don't like to void their warantees while in the first year of owning their new civic

P.S.S. i doubt that Wolf6Chris said "you pros" in the hope for replies from actual paid, sponsored drivers.

just to clear things up.

I'll lay it down very simple for you. Header / Intake / Exhaust with the hondata reflash and you will have a reliably quick Si doing high 13s assuming you can drive. However, wait a little bit for some good quality parts to come out. In my opinion right now everything is pretty much junk. Hope that helps

Just dont use it to much, or say bye bye to your piston rings. Also, how exactly are you tuning for this nitrous or what did you do to compensate for fuel?

I hate to be the one to call BS but I'm going to do so right now. Although, I'd like to be wrong in this case.

go with intake raceheader exhaust / intake hondata reflash. You will end up with about 200-220 whp,

i just got my si, i live on my own, no parents to help with the $425 car note every month or the $200 insurance every month, so there is no way in hell im voiding my warranty my putting turbo or SC on it. stick with simple parts, that dont cost that much, dont void ur warranty, and u can put on in ur driveway... CAI, headers, exhaust, reflash, short shifter, and lowering kit. then go for the big upgrades like a stereo/tint/decals. might wanna start off with an alarm though. always nice to have ur car sitting there the next morning with all the parts the way u left it
