ls swap in 91 dx
im new to the swap scene, and i dont want to screw up my car on **** that i dont know. i need to know what axels to use, will the ls harness work with the crx chassis harness. the works. i will appeciate any help that is sent my way.
um, what year integra did the motor come out of?
if it was a 90-93 integra, then you have to use the 90-93 axles and intermediate/half shaft
if its a 94-95, then you have to use the 94-95 axles along with the same year intermediate shaft
for wiring... either find someone local to help you with it or hit up rywire. depending on if you want to stay obd0 or obd1 (on board diagnostics). but your going to need the integra harness and your current harness. for obd1, you will need both those same harnesses, along with a 92-95 civic/integra ecu plugs. and kinda mate them together. dont know a whole lot about the wiring process so dont quote me on that part haha.
but technically the ls harness will not work in your bay, you need to do some hacking and modding to it. but like i said id go to http://www.rywire.com for that, unless you know of someone that can do it.

i just did the same swap and i must say dont pull the injectors out cuz it could cause more problems. what u need to do with the wiring is u need to change a few over because the dx was a dpfi and the integra is mpfi which means with the integra ecu ur car will only have 2 injectors and they wont fire. if that makes any sense. u need the injector resistor box and u need lots of time to do splicing soldering and de pinning. u need integra dizzy, axels, dx hubs work, integ throttle cable and if ur using a manual tranny u need the integra shift linkage. but cut 2 inches shorter.u also need engine mounts. i got mine from ebay for $80 and $25 shipping and handling. they work just fine. i suggest u get a friend or two that knws things u dont about cars. they will help. when u swap the engine and have it on the cherry picker attempt to clean the engine as well as possible. if u need wiring conversion stuff let me know ill give u the directions i used to make mine work. b.t.w. this is for any 90-93 integra. B18a1....
thanks for your input guys. i was told that the b18a1 (91 teg) will plug right in to the dx harness w/out modification. i would like to try and do all the work by myself if all possible. i've been working on cars for years, but i have never done this kind of stuff. the electrical and vacuum part makes me nervous, but the rest of the stuff i can handle. so im trying to cram a 91 integra engine into a 91 crx dx. shouldnt the resistor box be on the tegs harness already? i have all the wiring for the integra (engine), and the ecu. and im going to keep it obd0 for now. thank you for the help guys and sorry this post is so long.
