I've been wanting to take footage when i go out to our bike nights and race bikes but my aem just died on me 3 days ago so I already have another ecu i'm just waiting for my tuner to get back to load my tuned map on...

 

why do you have two blow off valves for under 17 psi?

 

like i said.........waiting to make new manifold before i tune on high boost.

its a clean set-up no dought...... im not feeling the bumper cut out though.

yeah i feel the same about the bumper, i would have left it alittle more covered up though, nice numbers

I think if you got a big intercooler you should let it breath, good stuff, function before fashion I always say.

Nice setup, but man, two blow off valves? You better be running a GT42R or I call it rice By the way, you didn't list what turbo you are running.

And poor front bumper man... If this is a street car, start aiming for 700+ WHP on a race gas tune, or else your "aggressive" bumper won't match the performance...lol

 

Wow, maybe next time I'll think twice about posting on hater-tech.com. I love the way the front bumper looks and thats all that matters. Most everyone that sees it loves it. The main reason i did it is because the front mount completely covers my half core radiator and i wanted more air to it. My roomate just by chance had another type s off of his rx-7 just laying around so i threw it on....its not like i went out and spent money to purposely put dual bov's on it. For those of you who actually complimented this post, thanks.

Someone got a little carried away with that front bumper!

 

And i didnt cut it with toe nail clippers I cut it with a body saw and smoothed everything with a file for a nice finish.........haters....

 

dont get your panties in a bunch, you asked for opinions, you got them, live with it...

 

There is no point in getting big intercoolers to just block them from air flow. I bet 80 percent of the people hating on it is using less then half of their intercoolers because they are too worried about the looks of the car. It just doesn't make sense to me to cover it up for the sake of appearence.

 

Actually i wont lie i had to cut mine up more than i wanted, the charge pipe sticks out the side scoops too (94 civic). Im not hating, i have seen alot of people cut the bumpers to accomodate the intercoolers, this is just an exceptional case of having to really cut away. Im all for performance rather than looking the best.

 

And I am going to jump on the band wagon and say that bumper is god awful looking, there is a much cleaner way to cut it than the way you did it, but its your car and you gotta live with it..... anyways good job

Thanks for pointing that out. I was expecting some specs on the turbo though, mostly A/R.

Anyway, you could have cut the bumper a lot nicer... If only you rolled the edges and formed a "duct" then it would be beneficial. Or even build a formed path to direct air to the intercooler. They way you have it now won't help intercooler performance as you start picking up speed. All the air would do is wrap around the intercooler core instead of going through it.
