tire sizing. ef civic azenis.
I had a coule questions. first off i have an ef hatch, sir knuckles, susp tech sway agx w/ h&R race ingalls 1-3 deg. 15" gsr fat fives.
i have not even driven the car yet and am looking for tires. i would like to go with azenis 205 50 15. will this tire size lead to problems? and would stepping down to the 195/50 sacrafice performance?

The problems with 205/50-15 are relatively minor. They are 1.9 percent larger in diameter than your stock size, so they will throw off the speedometer and odometer by that percentage. They probably won't rub if your car is at stock ride height, although they may rub if your car is lowered. They will slightly hurt your acceleration (like getting taller gearing). But overall, the performance difference is negligible, either way.
The problem with getting 195/50-15 in the Falken Azenis RT-615 is that that size won't be available until November. I assume you need tires sooner than that.
Here's my advice. If you are planning to track or autocross your car, so you really need the stickiest tire you can get, then get the Azenis now, in 205/50, and live with those minor downsides. If you aren't planning to track or autocross your car, then consider getting another tire - particularly the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, which is an excellent tire, not quite as sticky on dry pavement as the Azenis but still very very good, much better on wet pavement than the Azenis, and lasts a whole lot longer (like 2-3 times as many miles). The F1 GS-D3 is available in 195/50-15 for $91/tire at the Tire Rack; if you buy a set by this Saturday, you can get a $100 cash card (basically good for anything, anywhere) from Goodyear (see the Goodyear website for details). So it turns out to be $66/tire, which is an awesome price on an excellent tire.
Then, next time you need to replace tires, you can decide whether to replace your tires with another set of the same ones, or go for the Azenis in 195/50, which should be out by then.

i will take your advice. im gunna do with the F1 gs-d3's. suck i missed the 100 dollar gift card. my girlfriend i=has the f1 gs-d23's on her car now and i love them. i know that the goodyear doesnt make this tire in 205/50 but would a 205/50 look better than the 195's?
if any on has fat fives on a hatch with eigther size pics would be appreciated.

I doubt that you would be able to tell any difference by looking at them, unless the two different-size tires were side by side.
