WTF... brake lights stuck on?
I came home from work this evening and parked my car outside. When I went out later, I noticed that my brake lights were on. No keys in the ignition, nothing else wierd, just the lights. So I tried:
Starting it
Putting it in gear
Putting it in reverse
Turning on the lights
pumping the brakes
disconnecting/reconnecting the battery
nothing worked. I have no idea where to even start looking... this is my daily, I need to get this fixed asap.

there is a blue plug that the brake sensor bumps up against on the pedal. it broke. look for the small blue plastic/rubber pieces on the floor near the pedal.
it needs to be replaced.

This is the problem , I had the same thing happen too me about a year ago. You can use some electrical tap and a nickle to temp patch the hole , then go by Honda and pick up the part. I bought 2 of them and tossed the 2nd one in the glove box just in case it ever happened again.

Damn guys...I know we're all penny pinchers here, but they only cost a couple of dollars at Honda :D
I just bought a new one and called it a day.

The bolt replacement works in a pinch...but you should replace it with the nylon plug before the metal starts wearing out the switch. The plug is designed with the softer material so its what wears out, not the more expensive/harder to replace switch.
