have a new projest
hey guys whats up. just picked up a 93 civic ex. it has tokiko illumina struts and neuspeed springs, thermal exhaust, skunk 2 control armsdc header and 99 si seats. i picked it up for $2000 off my girlfriends brother. i have been stuck with the efs since i sold my last eg hatch and now i have a coupe. now here is what i need some help on.should i get a b18 and build it for turbo? keep the d16z6 and turbo it? or nether and get like something else and go all motor. i know its not your guys decision but your opions will help. and if you have a opion on what i should do tell me why. thanks ill try to get some pics up soon of the car. also what is this car considered a eg what? like i said i have had efs for the past two years

like eksi said, id turbo the D and pocket the rest... you can also do an all motor build on the D series if you'd like, it may be cheaper than buying a B-series and you can get your sohc to put down just as much power... with 4000 though, id definately go with turbocharging the SOHC (as making more power may be easier), maybe getting some tougher rods and some vitara pistons... basically, build the D-series for turbo rather than a B18, it will be cheaper and they do put down some pretty nice numbers bro!... just a suggestion..

I would not go allmotor On a d series unless I had a Tree that bloomed money every spring. Or was going for the under dog. Out of the two i would choose turbo because of the Power gain to money ratio.

z6 w/ a6 or zc pistons and rods + a good tune, doesnt sound expensive to me unless one is looking to go for some numbers anywhere larger than 130-150whp.. but i agree, that is going for the underdog (however making stock B-series #'s, give or take a few), turbocharging will make it cheaper to make more power out of a SOHC...
