I'm planning on running them with Eibach Sportlines. All my search has show a +/- thing about em and I was wondering what my fellow EF'ers thought of them. Would love some feedback with those who have them with the Sportlines
well i had them as my first set-up with skunk 2 coilovers.. they werent that great. what tokico blues are is kinda of a stock aftermarket strut, but in ur case u r going to run them with springs so it may not be that bad of a ride

FUC.K! not exactly what I wanted to hear. Should I just sell my brand new ones?

As long as you dont go lower than about 1.5" you should be fine, but dont expect too much from them. They firm up the ride just enough but thats about it. I was happy with mine while i had them.

I am happy with mine. I do not have an EF but I have them in my 3rd gen Prelude. I had to go with them because we do not have many choices, but over all I like them
illuminas are easily worth the money over blues.
its not just the adjustability, its the quality of the shock, and the lifetime warranty. i actually consider the adjustability a perk. a rarely change it anyway now as a daily driver. it does certainly make it more versatile for a very wide range of spring rates and applications.

I had them on my EX. I liked them, but they are a bit stiff. My setup was Eibach Sportline springs with the blues. If ride as a factor, I would probably go elsewhere.
I have an 88 CRX with Tokico blues and Eibach Sportline springs. The car rides great.
I bought another set of sportline springs for my dad's 91 rex and he opted for some KYB garbage. . . he totally loves the way mine rides compared to his.
As long as you are looking for a daily driven car that might get onto the track once in a while they are excellent, but they are not the best choice for full-race.
That's my humble opinion.

My brother has a set of them on his EF civic, with Tein springs and it's a great ride.
The ride wasnt that bad.
I used to have KYB's with Neuspeed springs, but the ride was just unbearable, would've been fine for the track but never the street, ever.
I have a brand new set of Blues and S2 Coilovers, and they're goin on my CRX, so we'll see how it turns

i had them with a set of gc coils.....they were horrible...the stock shocks almost seemed better(although the spring rates were badly matched to both shocks)...now i have Kyb Agx's...there awsome....save your money and buy some agx's or illuminas, you wont regret it
I was not happy with them. I had a better spring rate than stock and autocrossed on them for a 1.5 seasons. I saw myself on camera autocrossing and was surprised how much body roll my car had. I recently upgraded to Koni yellows and can notice a world of a difference and my car handles so much better and hardly has any body roll. It also depends on what you want to do with your car. Are you getting these for performance or to lower it and have a better shock? I autocross so the Koni's work much better for autocross but as far as when I had the Tokicos they were decent for the street. I know someone else who autocrosses an 88 CRX Si and went from Illuminas to Koni yellows and like the Koni's much more. Just my 2 cents as I have owned them and other dampers as well.

This is for a daily, looking to get some better handling characteristics and minimize the fender gap. Not a racer by any means
the blues and sportline. will be just fine in your case.
thats exactlly the set-up i had on my previous. 91 hb, and as said above. as long as your not lowerd too much it will be fine. down the road i actually replaced the sportline for neuspeed race. bad move....
