hx and ex motors

hx and ex motors

i was wondering if anyone knew if the parted were interchangeable between the 2005 hx (d17a6) motor and the ex or lx, more specifically cams and intake manifold?

Some parts are, but I doubt the Cams are. Specifically since one has Vtec, and the other does not. The intake manifold should be fine, though.

hx and ex both have vtec-e

thanks i think the only difference in the cams is how big the lobes were because the vtec on the ex opens up a little more i think, but i wasnt sure

RENNEN is correct that they both have Vtec and what i was told parts are interchangeable but don't that in stone I have not tested it personally
