I have been hearing that to do a rear disc swap from a GSR integra that you need an ebrake cable from a del sol si with rear discs. My question is that when I bought my rear brakes from the GSR that they came with an ebrake cable, now can I use this with my car? The car was a 2000 GSR, will these ebrake cables work with my del sol s model? Or will I need a del sol si ebrake cable to make it work.

hmm...alright...the only reason I'm asking is because I'm pretty sure you can use the GSR cables on a 92-95 civic and the del sol has the same chasis code as a 92-95 civic (EG). Has anyone else ever tried using these on there del sol? If not I guess I will be the first to try to make it work this saturday when I swap out the brakes.....

Yeah I think thats what I'm gonna do. If it doesn't work then I guess I'll have to buy the del sol si cables. Good thing the sol isn't my daily driver so if they don't work I'll just let it sit til i get other ones. I see you're from chambersburg...not too far from me.

YOu can use the gsr cables if you use a 92-95 ebrake handle mechanism.
otherwise you will need delsol ebrake cables. different mounting points

The lengths of the cables between the Del Sol and Integra are definitely different. The Del Sol ones are shorter. I bought Del Sol Si rear disks for my EG hatch and had to buy Integra cables.
im in the same boat as you man i just installed my 2000 gsr rear disk brakes to my 96 s and my ebrake doesnt work for crap now i have to buy the del sol ebrake cables so yea i figured it out the hard way
sucks!
also when you installed the brakes it doesnt feel firm anymore it feels like that stock master cylinder cant really take the drum to disk conversion does this mean i would have to change the master cylinder too??
p.s
im on my brothers sn so he drives a ferio i drive a sol so it wont be to confusing

Well I'm going to attempt to do the whole swap (front and rear). So I got a 15/16" master cylinder from a 91 honda civic ex 4 door sedan and then i got a 4040 prop. valve from an Integra RS. If you want a good master cylinder to replace your stock 13/15" one get one like I got this can be used with your stock brake booster so no need to swap that out like you have to with the RS master cylinder and brake booster.
As far as my problem this sucks. So I guess I'll have to spend more money on ebrake cables for a del sol si. Does anyone have these they are willing to sell??
