Default code P420

i got a 98 civic ex,i have already change both o2 sensor.idle is lower than normal sometimes when the car is hot around 500,and my steering wheel shake quit abit at stop lights.need an expert or someone who have the same problems before to give me some good advice.thanks

IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY P0420 IS USUALLY A CAT INSUFFICIENT CODE

so what should i see if i take it out? i suppose if i can't see though it would mean my cat is gone? also what usually kills the cat?

running extremly rich, will cause the gas to ignite once it reaches the catalyst and superheat the element and cause it to melt and break apart, if you can't see through it or shake it and it rattles its dead, take out the 02 sensor and stick your finger in there feel around
