Default ITR Trunk Bar Location... Pictures Please

I have a ITR trunk bar and would like to install in the appropriate spot. Looking for pics of the location of the hole... it would be great if you take a picture with a ruler in the vertical position.

Thanks in advance!!

I'd still like to see someone take a caliper and measure the thickness of the ITR fenders and rear quarter panel then compaire to a sub model.

Does the trunk bar actually do anything or is it cosmetic?

I don't have figures to provide, but I really don't think Honda would have gone to the trouble to put it there to look pretty. The technical guide (see the thread for that) states it's one of the body reinforcements done to the ITR. If you look closely at the diagram I posted above, the bar is joining the two rear frame rails together.

If you don't know, the front lip spoiler and the rear wing are also functional, in decreasing drag and lift.

Changes made to the ITR were track tested, which is why it feels so good out of the box.. and why it carries the Type R name.

Thanks for the pic... looks like the hole for the bar is even vertically with the clip holes that hold the rear panel.

Did you have to cut the rear panel that covers the tail lights if its a non Type-R?

haha I was only kidding with Rino. His car is a real R so it came facotry that way, but on a non-R you would have to cut holes in the panel.

Does anyone know where I can get one for my Non Type R or is the EM racing work the same?

there is no brace for a non type r that fits in that location. the r's are the only ones with the threaded holes to mount it to. but im guessing yea the em racing bar works the same way.

Didn't Dave B finally harass Austrian R into measuring the Q panels on one of his salvage cars?

I found them at a local industrial supply store. Home Depot has a few different sizes but nothing as big as 8mm.
